Closing

Once you find that dream home your Real Estate Agent will help you make an offer which will then either be accepted, countered, or rejected. When an accepted offer is agreed upon, you will then need to have an inspection of the home, which may require more negotiating depending on repairs that may need to be done. Your mortgage lender will also want an appraisal done on the property to make sure the amount they are lending is justified. You then will need to get homeowners insurance on your new home. Finally, you will have to decide on a Lawyer/ Notary to sign off on ownership.
